The Drowsy Chaperone : 22nd to 28th April 2018

The award winning ELODS proudly presents The Drowsy Chaperone:

Book by Bob Martin and Don McKellar, music and lyrics by Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison. This Tony Award winning parody of American musical comedy, tells the story of a reclusive musical theatre fan with a hyperactive fantasy life, who finds comfort in Broadway cast recordings. As he settles into his armchair to listen to his favourite musical; a fictional 1920ís Broadway hit The Drowsy Chaperone; the song and dance frolic based around the upcoming marriage of a Broadway star quite literally bursts to life in his apartment! Add a couple of gangsters and a surprise visit by an aviatrix, this two-shows-in-one feel good comedy is filled to the brim with fun!
